Version: 0.6 Last updated: 26.26.2007 Download

The Widgets’ purpose is to show a user-given number as bits, bytes…upto Terrabytes. It’s possible to copy/paste the results via usual shortcuts. Though the output might look truncated if the numbers are too big, the fields hold the complete result of the calculation.

there might be some issues with this version as it was done in a hurry, so feel free to suggest any improvements.

Included background-graphic was kindly given by Christoph, whos’ surname I do not now…:-) Thanks for it, looks nice

What’s new (v. 0.6):

  1. included every byte-unit that I knew of (which I found via wikipedia)
  2. added sliders to change the number of digits after decimal-point
  3. added the ability to choose the units that should be displayed
  4. added a preferences-section on the back
  5. added some other info on the back
  6. added an email-link on the back
  7. changed a lot of the sourcecode in order to do things the Dashcode-way
  8. some small cosmetic changes (not sure if this was a good idea…) :)

What’s new (v. 0.3):

  1. Only one new version for now instead of the former bytecalc and bytecalc-small-version. I might include a themes-swapper
if I don’t get too frustrated by floats…:-/
  2. A short info-text on the backside
  3. Terrabytes included, a whish by a user.

Old versions are still available: ByteCalc 0.3, ByteCalc 0.2 and
ByteCalc small (with black background)
